A word from Chad:
In 2011, in our early 40's, Jeff and I (we are now approaching our 25th anniversary by the way) completely reinvented our lives. ..moving from the city to a beautiful historic farm...to raise dairy goats (I was dragged kicking and screaming...but then..the goats showed up!)
Over 7 years, thousands of bars of soap, tv appearances, magazine articles, onstage appearances at Country Living Fair, later, I couldn't imagine any other way of life..it can be hard..physically, emotionally...financially...but it is so rewarding! I've always loved Christmas...and even more as I get older, I just love the magic and wonder of it all...sadly some people lose that sense of magic and wonder as they get older.(Jeff is a great inspiration in this...his sense of wonder has never waivered)....life can be tough, but also can be beautiful. I don't consider myself any great talent as far as art is concerned, but for me it's about capturing a feeling, more than the technical skill.....and after all these years working with the goats, I'm constantly amazed at the connection we have....I talk to them constantly....they may not get the language, but they get the intent and the feeling. All of our goats (nearly 50 at the moment) have names, and they all have their unique personalities, voices, habits....and I just think they are amazing...and magical...they are a huge part of our life here in the Hollow.....it would be very bleak without them. I hope you enjoy Yule Goat... and I hope you don't lose that sense of wonder, and magic.
